BIOL 475 - Animal Behavior 4 credits An examination of the evolutionary, developmental, ecological, and physiological mechanisms and significance of animal behavior. Focal areas include foraging, communication, migration, predator-prey interactions, mating and parental care. An inclusive sampling of those species (e.g., insects, reptiles, bird and mammals) will be studied. 3 lecture and one 2-hour lab periods.
Prerequisite(s): BIOL 288 with minimum grades of C-; MATH 301 and BIOL 341 or BIOL 399 ; or permission of the instructor. Corequisite(s): None.
