BIOL 399 - Evolution 4 credits This course examines the principles of organic evolution and the patterns generated by evolutionary processes. Topics include: hypothesis testing in evolutionary biology, origins of variation and novelty, natural selection, molecular evolution, evolutionary development, speciation, and major transitions in evolutionary history. 3 lecture and one 2-hour lab periods.
