READ 670 - Evaluation and Applied Practicum in Intermediate/Adolescent Literacy

With an emphasis on intermediate and adolescent readers, diagnostic assessments will be administered, utilized, and evaluated for their value to inform literacy instruction. Evidence-based literacy lessons will be designed and delivered in a practicum setting to assist an intermediate/adolescent reader. Instructional planning and delivery will be evaluated to discern elements of high-quality literacy instructional opportunities. Both in-class and supervised practicum-based experiences are required. Supervisory fee: $25 per credit hour.
