ELEM 440 - Differentiated Instruction for Elementary Learners 3 credits Teacher Candidates explore essential frameworks, resources, and strategies related to differentiated instruction in elementary contexts, and they examine different ways to embed young learners’ voice and choice in instructional practice. The course emphasizes diverse instructional methods to support the specific interests and needs of students from a variety of linguistic, academic, and cultural backgrounds. The successful completion of an embedded field-related experience is required.
Prerequisite(s): ELEM 360 and ELEM 380 , both with a grade of C+ or higher, and admission to Teacher Candidacy Corequisite(s): ELEM 420 and ELEM 460
