PSYC 315 - Comparative Animal Behavior 3 Credits This course will introduce students to various approaches for studying animals and their behavior, emphasizing ethology, comparative psychology, and evolutionary perspectives. Introductory topics will focus on the science and methods of studying animal behavior. During the course, we will explore a wide range of organisms and behavioral phenomena. Topics may include sensory systems, communication, learning, foraging behavior, antipredator behavior, territoriality, mating behavior, parental care, and social behavior. 3 lecture hours
Prerequisite(s): PSYC 151 or NEUR 105 (with a C- or better).
