SPED 331 - Foundations of Literacy for Exceptional Learners

Research-based strategies for teaching reading and language arts to special education students in the general curriculum. This course presents an introduction to literacy terminology and concepts, as well as evidence-based practices for students with exceptional needs in a special/general education classroom. The emphasis in this course is on foundations of literacy, in particular phonological and phonemic awareness, as well as phonics instruction.
