CSDS 516 - Gerontology

This course will provide students with an overview of gerontology. A holistic approach to patient care will be considered, encompassing biological, social, psychological, and cultural aspects related to aging. Analysis of day-to-day functioning of the aging patient will be covered. An emphasis will be placed on differentiation between normal aging processes and pathological changes related to speech-language pathology and communication disorders.
