SPED 535 - Curriculum and Instruction for Diverse Learners at the Secondary Level 3 credits This course is designed to support the development of reflective, professional, collaborative and evidence-based practitioners in the field of middle and high school core content. This course introduces graduate students to the fundamentals of theory and practice for teaching math, science, English, and social studies in grades 6-8 (middle school) and 9-12 (high school) with an emphasis on unpacking standards to provide scaffolding for concepts from the foundational through mastery levels. Curricular mapping includes evidence-based practices in delivery, lesson construction, assessment, and remediation.
