MAED 451 - The Teaching of High School Mathematics 3 credits A study of current practices in high school mathematics teaching, limited to teacher candidates seeking 6-12 licensure. Through the development of a unit plan, students will investigate a variety of instructional and assessment strategies that develop conceptual understanding, procedural fluency, and problem-solving skills in alignment with state and national standards. Students will also reflect on current research in mathematics education.
