PSYC 101 - Introduction to Psychology


3 credits.
Overview of the theories, methods, and applications of psychology. Explanation of the ways psychology and culture have influenced each other, as well as the application of psychological principles and ideas to contemporary issues. Focuses on personality, emotional, and social development; psychological disorders and treatment; cognitive processes and abilities; direct and indirect influences on thoughts, feelings, and behavior; and health, stress, and coping.
