MATH 301 - Applied Statistics 3 credits. Topics include one-way and two-way analysis of variance, correlation and linear regression, multiple linear regression, analysis of categorical data (Chi-square tests), and nonparametric tests. Additional topics such as logistic regression and bootstrap methods may also be covered. The emphasis will be on practical applications of these techniques and the use of computer software will be an integral part of the course.
Prerequisite(s): MATH 171 with a grade of C- or better. Corequisite(s): None.
