CSDS 207 - Intermediate Sign Language 3 credits. Intermediate Sign Language. This intermediate level course is intended to improve or advance the communication skills of those students whose core vocabulary of signed languages and knowledge of deafness has already been established. Includes an overview of various sign language dialects. A review of the acquisition of sign language skills in children and the respective roles of parents and various professionals, including interpreters, in teaching sign language to young children, will be presented.
Prerequisite(s): CSDS 206 or equivalent. Corequisite(s): None.
