ECON 300 - Study Abroad: Introduction to Southeast Asia


3 credits.
This course is offered in conjunction with study abroad to destinations in Southeast Asia, usually Thailand or Malaysia, The course, and related travel experience, provides students with an overview of this region of the world, while allowing them to experience life in the developing world. Students are immersed in the rich culture, while they learn about the country’s economy, its role in global trade, approaches to economic development, how economics connects to the geography, historical events, and its religion. The course starts online and is completed overseas. 

Prerequisite(s): Permission of instructor is required.
