Earth Science Minor


The Earth Science Program is a flexible program of study that leads to fundamental literacy in the sciences of geology, oceanography, meteorology, climatology, and astronomy.

Earth Science minors may count Core courses satisfying minor requirements as also satisfying their respective Core requirements, up to two Pillar courses and one Perspectives course.  The following are the courses in this minor that may be used in this way:

  • PHYS 115  can satisfy the Scientific Reasoning Pillar requirement

Courses satisfying minor requirements that are designated as Core courses subsequent to the print deadline of this Catalog will not appear in the above listings but will be eligible to also satisfy Core requirements, subject to the same rules as the others.
