The minor in Spanish requires 18 credits in Spanish at the 212 level or above. Those credits are earned in SPAN 320 Integrated Inquiry into Culture and Language, as well as courses in Latin American and Spanish civilization, culture, literature and art; written expression; conversation; and phonetics.
Spanish minors may count Civitae Core courses satisfying minor requirements as also satisfying their respective Civitae Core requirements, up to one Perspectives course. The following are the courses in this minor that may be used in this way:
- SPAN 320 can satisfy the Integrating World Languages Perspectives requirement.
- SPAN 342 and SPAN 351 can satisfy the Global Citizenship Perspectives requirement.
