Spanish Minor

Spanish minors may count Civitae Core courses satisfying minor requirements as also satisfying their respective Civitae Core requirements, up to two Pillar courses and one Perspectives course.

Courses satisfying minor requirements that are designated as Civitae Core courses subsequent to the print deadline of this Catalog will be eligible to also satisfy Civitae Core requirements, subject to the above rules.

The minor in Spanish requires 18 hours of concentration at the 212 level or above, to include SPAN 320 - Integrated Inquiry into Culture & Language , and at least one course in literature and one course in culture and civilization:

SPAN 320 - Integrated Inquiry into Culture & Language 3 credits
SPAN 341 - Spain: Civilization, Literature, and Artistic Expressions from Prehistory to 1700 3 credits
OR
SPAN 351 - Early Latin American Civilization and Culture: Prehistory to 1800 3 credits
SPAN 342 - Spain: Civilization, Literature, and Artistic Expressions since 1700 3 credits
OR
SPAN 352 - Spanish American Civilization and Culture (1800 to the Present) 3 credits
