Business Administration Minor

Business Administration majors may count Civitae Core courses satisfying minor requirements as also satisfying their respective Civitae Core requirements, up to two Pillar courses and one Perspectives course. The following are the courses in this minor that may be used in this way:
- ECON 216 can satisfy the Global Citizenship Pillar requirement, for students who place into a 211-level language course or above
- FINA 250 can satisfy the Quantitative Reasoning Pillar requirement
Courses satisfying minor requirements that are designated as Civitae Core courses subsequent to the print deadline of this Catalog will not appear in the above listings but will be eligible to also satisfy Civitae Core requirements, subject to the same rules as the others.
The College of Business and Economics offers a minor in Business Administration. To be admitted to the Business Administration minor and allowed to take upper-level business and economics courses, students must make a C- or better in ACCT 240 and ECON 217 and have at least a 2.33 cumulative GPA. Students should apply for admission to the Business Administration minor during the semester in which they will complete admission requirements (Oct. 1 for fall semester and March 1 for spring semester).

Business Administration (18 credits)
Students must complete the following requirements:
Take 12 credits of business and economics courses; at least 9 credits must be 300 or 400 level courses and from at least two disciplines (for example, MANG and MARK). Internships, ECON 461 and MANG 497 may not be taken by non-business and non-economics majors.
