The Master of Business Administration degree provides a comprehensive business education. This program furthers the mission of the Longwood University College of Business and Economics:
- To prepare effective and successful business leaders by guiding students to develop their full potential.
This will be accomplished by recruiting, educating, and graduating master’s level students who:
- Develop knowledge and skills necessary for administrative level business management.
- Integrate academic knowledge into practical applied experiences.
- Demonstrate application of ethical business practices.
Students can pursue their own business interests by choosing between these online tracks: Accounting, Data Analytics, Finance, General Business, Marketing, Real Estate, Economics, and Retail Management.
Admission
Prior to starting their graduate program, students must hold a conferred bachelor’s degree or international equivalent from a college or university accredited by the appropriate institutional (formerly regional) accreditation agency. Additionally, the following conditions apply as criteria for consideration for admission:
Completed bachelor’s degree1 from a regionally-accredited college or university with:
- minimum 2.75 GPA OR
- 2.50 - 2.74 GPA and 5 years of professional level work experience2 OR
- All other prospective students are strongly encouraged to apply. These applicants must submit a 1-page maximum letter of interest briefly indicating their reason(s) for obtaining a Longwood MBA along with their transcripts, resume, and optional GMAT score.3

The Master of Business Administration degree at Longwood University, and the tracks within it, were not developed with the intention of meeting any states’ professional licensure requirements, including Virginia.
