Psychology Minor

A minor in psychology is a valuable supplement to a variety of majors. When pursuing a minor in psychology students learn the fundamentals of how humans think, feel, and behave, knowledge which can enhance effectiveness in personal and professional interactions. Students minoring in psychology must earn a grade of no less than C- in all psychology courses that are applied to the minor.
Psychology minors may count Civitae Core courses satisfying minor requirements as also satisfying their respective Civitae Core requirements, up to two Pillar courses and one Perspectives course. The following are the courses in this minor that may be used in this way:
- PSYC 101 can satisfy the Scientific Reasoning Pillar requirement
- PSYC 230 can satisfy the Human Behavior and Social Institutions Pillar requirement
- PSYC 335 , PSYC 337 , and PSYC 340 can satisfy the Human Behavior and Social Institutions Perspectives requirement
Courses satisfying minor requirements that are designated as Civitae Core courses subsequent to the print deadline of this Catalog will not appear in the above listings but will be eligible to also satisfy Civitae Core requirements, subject to the same rules as the others.
