German minors may count Civitae Core courses satisfying minor requirements as also satisfying their respective Civitae Core requirements, up to two Pillar courses and one Perspectives course.

Courses satisfying minor requirements that are designated as Civitae Core courses subsequent to the print deadline of this Catalog will be eligible to also satisfy Civitae Core requirements, subject to the above rules.

The minor in German requires 18 hours of concentration at the 210 level or above, to include at least one course in literature and one course in culture and civilization:

Minor Requirements (18 credits)

GERM 330 - Civilization and Culture 3 credits
GERM 341 - Survey of German Literature I: The Age of Goethe 3 credits
OR
GERM 342 - Survey of German Literature II: Realism to the Present 3 credits

German Electives

12 credits of German electives at 210-level or above.
