Creative Writing minors may count Civitae Core courses satisfying minor requirements as also satisfying their respective Civitae Core requirements, up to two Pillar courses and one Perspectives course.

Courses satisfying minor requirements that are designated as Civitae Core courses subsequent to the print deadline of this Catalog will be eligible to also satisfy Civitae Core requirements, subject to the above rules.

Introductory Workshops

Choose three from the following:

ENGL 220 - Intro to Dramatic Writing 3 credits
ENGL 221 - Introduction to Writing Fiction 3 credits
ENGL 222 - Introduction to Writing Poetry 3 credits
ENGL 223 - Introduction to Writing Creative Nonfiction 3 credits

Advanced Workshops

Take two of the following (you must have taken the intro workshop to enroll in the advanced workshop):

ENGL 475 - Advanced Dramatic Writing 3 credits
ENGL 476 - Advanced Fiction Writing 3 credits
ENGL 477 - Advanced Poetry Writing 3 credits
ENGL 478 - Advanced Creative Non-Fiction Writing 3 credits

Professional course (3 credits)

ENGL 352 - Digital Narrative and Publishing 3 credits
