Educational Leadership Professional Endorsement

Teachers holding an official master’s degree from an appropriate institutional (formerly regional) accreditation agency and a valid Virginia professional teaching license (or an equivalent from another state) are eligible to earn the Administration & Supervision preK-12 endorsement through the Virginia Department of Education (VDOE). The VDOE requires successful completion of the coursework, a passing score on the School Leaders Licensure Assessment (SLLA), and three years successful, full-time experience in a public school or accredited nonpublic school in an instructional personnel position that requires licensure in Virginia.
