The minor in Physical Literacy is designed to provide students with pedagogical knowledge and skills applied to physical activity in community and classroom settings. The minor prepares citizen leaders to become physically literate and also to facilitate experiences in which they can help others to develop physical literacy. This program will also enable students to incorporate movement concepts into their curricula, with the potential to improve the physical literacy of the students and communities they serve.

This minor is designed for students who plan to teach in an elementary or middle school classroom. Students in other majors will need to complete more courses to go through course pre-requisites.
