Therapeutic Activities Minor

Leisure is an essential human experience to achieving and maintaining health and well-being over the lifespan. The therapeutic activities minor prepares students to lead and implement goal-based recreational activities that may be utilized to improve cognitive, physical, social, emotional and spiritual functioning for all individuals. Therapeutic activities can be used to teach skills in a variety of settings such as the classroom, clinical environments and other professional venues, and with an array of populations such as students, clients and individuals with disabilities. Therapeutic recreation majors are not eligible for this minor.
