Special Education Minor

A special education minor may be pursued by students in any other major. Students who wish to minor in special education will complete 18 credit hours including 15 credit hours of special education courses. These courses provide additional background information about the special needs population including instructional strategies for teaching diverse learners in the public school setting. These courses also include a focus on behavior management techniques, assessment approaches, and the use of assistive technology for students with exceptionalities.
