Students who are preparing to teach and who are majoring in fields other than mathematics may be endorsed to teach mathematics courses through Algebra I in grades 6 - 12 by taking the courses listed below.

Algebra I Endorsement Requirements (25-27 credits)

MATH 164 - Precalculus
or
MATH 262 - The Differential and Integral Calculus II
MATH 261 - The Differential and Integral Calculus I
MATH 280 - Linear Algebra
MATH 309 - Numeration Systems
MATH 310 - Probability, Statistics, and Programming
MATH 313 - Geometry and Reasoning
or
MATH 335 - Advanced Euclidean Geometry
MATH 430 - Teaching Mathematics in the Middle Schools
or
MATH 451 - The Teaching of Secondary Mathematics
CMSC 121 - Introduction to Computer Science
or
CMSC 160 - Introduction to Algorithmic Design I
