KINS 210 - Introduction to Health Professions

Healthcare is an important vehicle for examining the relationship between social institutions and individuals and cultures in a society. In this course students will examine the roles and responsibilities of various healthcare providers and in the United States healthcare system. Students will identify and compare the impact of cultural and personal values on healthcare. This course also provides the opportunity for students to explore allied health professions and will prepare students with necessary knowledge and skills to make informed decision in either choosing a health field program of study and/or become a conscious consumer.
