3 credits Exploration and investigation of traditional and contemporary surface design techniques using image, color, texture, scale, and pattern. This course will focus on the fundamentals of pattern involving a dynamic mix of media and decoration. Surface design offers a natural link between paper, textiles, graphics, craft and product design.
