HIST 301 - American Colonial History 3 credits This course will reflect on the period of European colonization of North America, its impact on native societies and the introduction of enslaved Africans between the late-sixteenth and late-eighteenth centuries. The course will highlight the historical, geographical, social, economic, and political developments of English North American colonies from 1607 to 1765. We will integrate multiple perspectives related to History, Geography, Psychology, Sociology, and Economics as we explore the collision of cultures that defined the colonial experience prior to the American Revolution.
Prerequisite(s): Completion of FHCI pillar *Fulfills Civitae Core PHCI SI SP US
