HIST 317 - Historic Editing and Preservation 3 credits This course focuses on the evolution of architectural styles in the United States from the Colonial Era to present with emphasis on principal periods of development in American architecture, furniture, and interior design. Hands-on field work in preservation/restoration methods is included. This course also teaches the tools and techniques of historical editing. Emphasis is placed on operation of the latest computer equipment necessary to document editing and public presentation.
Prerequisite(s): HIST 221 and HIST 222 or permission of instructor. Corequisite(s): None.
