CSDS 201 - Communication Disorders in Society and Media 3 credits This course uses an inquiry-based approach to explore the socio-emotional and functional impact of impaired speech, language, hearing, and cognition, and the ways in which society views people with communication disorders as presented in media with an emphasis on critical thought, civil discourse, and applied ethical reasoning. Students will build and refine their skills for academic success and will identify strengths and weaknesses in their written communication.
