SLIB 689 - Supervised Experience in School Libraries

A supervised internship in school libraries, including experiences at the elementary, middle, and high school levels as required by VDOE licensure regulations. Candidates will take an active role in the tasks of a school librarian with opportunities to apply the skills, knowledge, and competencies required for licensure in Library Media PreK-12 through VDOE. Candidates will need to apply to Teacher Preparation. Five credits are required. Continuous enrollment required until completion. Maximum of 5 credits counted toward total required credit hours. Supervisory fee - $60.00 per credit hour.

Candidates must meet the Virginia Department of Education professional studies requirements and have completed 33 SLIB credit hours.
