WGST 391 - Zines and Marginalized Communities

In this course, students examine the interdisciplinary influence of zines on culture, politics, health, and communication. Specifically, this course looks at historical and modern zine culture to gather perspective on the use of zines for communication in marginalized communities (e.g., Feminist, Civil Rights, Black, Gay Liberation, and Reproductive Rights movements). Students can expect to also create their own zines in this course.
