ELEM 240 - Instructional Design and Assessment for Elementary Learners 3 credits This course introduces Preservice Teachers to evidence-based, equity-driven practices and approaches in instructional design and assessment. Anchored in the tenets of Place-Based Learning and Understanding by Design (UbD), the course examines key concepts, resources, and strategies elementary educators need to enact quality lessons and assessments. The successful completion of an embedded field-related experience is required.
Prerequisite(s): ELEM 220 with a grade of C+ or higher Corequisite(s): ELEM 260
