This course investigates myths representing diverse global cultures; compares and contrasts plot structures, themes, and character types within and across cultures; and traces myth’s relationship with religion and the arts.

Prerequisite(s): One 300-level course in a literary period (ENGL 325, ENGL 327, ENGL 335, ENGL 336, ENGL 345, or ENGL 346)
