MAED 209 - Numbers and Operations for Elementary and Middle School Teachers

This course combines the study of numbers and operations with content-specific pedagogy based on current trends in mathematics education research. Students will develop an understanding of our number system and how its structure relates to operations by focusing on children’s thinking and computational strategies. Students will actively engage in a problem-solving environment through investigations and hands-on activities and manipulatives.
