ELEM 340 - Scientific Inquiry and Methods for Elementary Learners 3 credits This methods course provides an overview of key principles, resources, and strategies related to science curriculum and instruction in elementary contexts. Preservice Teachers learn to use and adapt pedagogical strategies that promote disciplinary inquiry in elementary settings with a focus on instructional scaffolding, place-based learning, and service learning. The successful completion of an embedded field-related experience is required.
