MATH 304 - Mathematics History 3 credits An introduction to the history of mathematics, concentrating on the period from the early Egyptians through the 17th century. The study of mathematics is Egyptian, Mesopotamian, Greek, Chinese, Indian, Islamic, and European cultures will include number and number systems, algebra, geometry, pre-calculus, probability, statistics, discrete mathematics, and calculus.
Prerequisite(s): FQRC course, FHCI course, MATH 261 *Fulfills Civitae Core PQRC. SI
