CSDS 508 - Introduction to Audiology and Hearing Science

This course introduces the physics and psychophysics of sound and reviews anatomy and physiology of the auditory system. The course introduces the profession of audiology: Behavioral and objective audiometric evaluation and screening procedures; types, degrees, and configurations of hearing loss; causes of auditory disorders and their audiometric correlates; and an overview of audiologic intervention.
