EDUC 690 - Internship in Educational Leadership PreK-12 1 credit This course is designed to provide cumulative internship experiences and activities in Educational Leadership in pre-K-12. The candidate will have an internship that includes significant time assigned to elementary, middle, and high school sites, the school division central office, and in a community agency that provides support to public school students. The internship will occur in diverse settings. Candidates are expected to participate in solving and decision-making processes and to reinforce knowledge gained from coursework as well from courses that provided a theoretical base of educational leadership. The activities the candidates engage in target the development of an educational leader who displays instructional leadership and effective management as reflected in the program standards. A minimum of 320 clock hours of deliberately structured supervision provided by a faculty advisor is required. Continuous enrollment required until completion. Grading is Pass(P)/Satisfactory Progress(SP)/Not Pass(NP). Supervisory fee - $25 per credit hour. 1 credit per semester; 3 credits required.
