KINS 325 - Public Health and Healthcare Disparities 3 credits This course provides a broad overview of healthcare access and disparity issues in a global context, with comparisons of both developing and industrialized nations. Concepts include defining health and health services and defining factors that influence the management and delivery of those services in different global settings. Students will explore policy process, policy implementation and enactment, access to healthcare and health programs, costs of healthcare, and disparities in health in both the domestic and global contexts.
