RECR 301 - Therapeutic Recreation in Mental Health 3 credits An exploration of socio-cultural and psycho-dynamic dimensions of mental health and mental illness. Students will draw from foundations of psychopathology; focus on functioning characteristics of different mental illnesses as determined by the DSM-V, and the preventative and restorative functions of therapeutic recreation and application of the therapeutic recreation process.
