Algebra 1 Endorsement

Students who are preparing to teach and who are majoring in fields other than mathematics may be endorsed to teach mathematics courses through Algebra I in grades 6 - 12 by taking the courses listed below.

Algebra I Endorsement Requirements (25 credits)
Students pursuing the Algebra I endorsement may count Civitae Core courses satisfying minor requirements as also satisfying their respective Civitae Core requirements, up to two Pillar courses and one Perspectives course. The following are the courses in this minor that may be used in this way:
MATH 164 can satisfy the Quantitative Reasoning Pillar requirement
Courses satisfying minor requirements that are designated as Civitae Core courses subsequent to the print deadline of this Catalog will not appear in the above listings but will be eligible to also satisfy Civitae Core requirements, subject to the same rules as the others.
