SPED 411 - Assistive Technology and Augmentative Communication in the General Curriculum 3 credits. Students will develop an understanding of low tech and high tech Assistive Technology (AT) and Augmentative/Alternative Communication (AAC) systems. Study will include federal and state laws related to the provision of AT/AAC and funding for devices. Students will learn to assess for, design, and apply AT and AAC to facilitate success in the lives of persons with disabilities.
